stARTup Studios is a 3D art space in Macon, GA, that combines a glassblowing hot shop and a ceramics studio under one roof. Founded in 2019 by artist couple Yen-Ting and Bryan Beck, the studio was created to share their passion for glass and clay with the local community. Through interactive events, hands-on classes, and a gallery showcasing artwork made entirely in-house, stARTup Studios invites visitors to experience the creative process up close. The space also features a cozy beer bar, serving a curated selection of craft brews—including Taiwan Beer, making it the only spot in Macon where you can enjoy this unique import.
Yen-Ting Beck – Lead Ceramics Instructor
Yen-Ting Beck grew up in Taipei, Taiwan, and moved to the United States in 2014 to pursue her career as a ceramic artist. She earned her Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2017.
Yen-Ting is currently the co-owner of stARTup Studios in Macon, Georgia, where she serves as the lead ceramic artist and instructor, teaching classes for all experience levels.
Her passion for ceramics began in 2006 while studying at the National Taipei University of Education. Since then, her work has spanned a wide range—from functional pottery to large-scale public ceramic sculptures. During graduate school, she focused on low-fire, hand built sculptures of cats, and she continues to explore diverse approaches to ceramic art and its conceptual possibilities.
Bryan Beck – Lead Glassblowing Instructor
Bryan grew up in Boca Raton, Florida and moved back to his birth state of New Jersey in 2006 to pursue an education in Glass Art. He currently holds his Associate in Fine Arts in Glass Art from Salem Community College, his Bachelor of Fine Art in Glass Art from Jacksonville University and his Master of Fine Arts from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He Currently resides with his wife, business partner and fellow artist Yen-Ting Chiu Beck in Macon, Georgia where he operates his glassblowing studio Blazing Paddles Studio and their collective art space, stARTup Studios.
Bryan prides himself in making unique, handmade, beautiful pieces, proficient in making custom lighting and glass chandeliers, and metal fabricated works of art.
When he’s not in the studio, Bryan also enjoys surrounding himself with family and friends and playing drums in his band tinyWOLF.
